UPDATE: As previously reported here on eWrestlingNews.com over the past week or so, WWE has been calling numerous former Superstars in order to fill the roster leading into the WWE Draft and Brand Split on July 19th. As far as the former talents being contacted are concerned, the feeling is that many of them may be used similar to the way The Dudley Boyz are. The two are notable names who can be on TV and live shows and who will put over the WWE NXT guys as they are called up to the main roster.

For what it’s worth, the returns will be full-time. Most of the deals being offered to former talents are for two to three years.

In more WWE Draft/Brand Split news, the WWE NXT roster will need to be replenished due to the expected call ups to the main roster. As of this writing, the following names are all expected to be called up in the very near future – Shinsuke Nakamura, Austin Aries, Samoa Joe, Finn Balor, Bayley, Asuka, Bobby Roode, Jason Jordan, Chad Gable and The Revival. One source says “many of those names will be on the main roster shortly.”

ORIGINAL: It has been confirmed that WWE has approached Kurt Angle, MVP, Carlito and Stevie Richards. Angle went public with the information on Mark Madden’s radio show this past week. Paul Levesque called Angle, and while they did not get into specifics, they did say that they would get back to him.

There is no deal in place, but the feeling is that Angle would not be able to work a full time WWE schedule. Unless they plan to use him in a non-wrestling role, he’s likely be on a Brock Lesnar or Triple H like schedule. This is a complete change from WWE, who had claimed since Angle’s departure in 20006 that he would never bring him back.
