It was reported on October 5th that luchador wrestler Bandido had reached a verbal agreement with AEW, but had not put pen to paper. However, Bandido confirmed during an interview with Mas Lucha that he has yet to sign a contract and is still in talks with the company. He also said WWE did reach out to him with an offer.
Bandido wrestled Chris Jericho for the ROH World Championship on the September 28th edition of AEW Dynamite. Despite giving his all, Bandido failed to dethrone Jericho that night. The superstar added in the interview that Jericho and AEW President Tony Khan did speak with him after his championship match on Dynamite about the possibility of signing with the company. He also added that he believes he’ll be signing with AEW.
