It looks like former WWE Champion Dave Bautista will be joining another movie franchise.
Deadline is reporting that Batista has agreed to be part of the upcoming ‘Dune’ film. There’s currently no word on who he will be playing in the film, as that’s being kept under wraps for the time being. He’ll join a cast that includes Timothée Chalamet and Rebecca Ferguson. ‘Dune’ will be directed by ‘Blade Runner 2049’ director Denis Villeneueve, who has worked with Batista before.
This could possibly be another big franchise role for Batista, who has done a tremendous job playing Drax The Destroyer in ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ and ‘The Avengers.’ The movie has been described as ‘Game Of Thrones’ meets ‘Star Wars.’ The film is in the pre-production stages at the moment and there’s no word on when it’s expected to be released. It will be interesting to see if this affects Batista’s ability to potentially appear at WrestleMania 35.
