Previously, here on eWN it was reported that Bayley would defend her championship at the upcoming Super ShowDown event in Saudi Arabia.
However, it appears WWE’s advertising team sent the email out prematurely. As seen on last week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, Carmella won a Fatal-4-Way match to earn a Smackdown Women’s Championship opportunity.
In the original advertisement it stated the winner would face Bayley at Super ShowDown. But, that wasn’t the case as Carmella would get her shot tonight instead but was unsuccessful due to cheating tactics from Bayley.

On tonight’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, it was announced that Bayley will indeed defend her championship at Super ShowDown. Next week’s episode of Smackdown will feature a number one contender match between Carmella and Naomi to decide her challenger for Super ShowDown.
