It looks like “Becky Two Belts” will have to matches at the upcoming Money In The Bank pay-per-view (PPV) next month. The show will go down from the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut on Sunday, May 19, 2019.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio discussed the matter on yesterday’s (Mon. April 2, 2019) program. He pointed out that Lacey Evans noted last week that she’s looking forward to challenging for the RAW Women’s Championship. However, this week, Evans said she’s going to win both belts. But Lynch and Evans’ match won’t be for both titles, according to Meltzer.
The plan is for Lynch to actually defend both her titles at MITB in two separate matches. Meltzer isn’t sure what the other match will be but assumes Charlotte Flair will be the woman to challenge for the SDL Women’s Title. Whoever will be Lynch’s other challenger, it’s likely going to be set up on tonight’s (Tues. April 23, 2019) episode of SmackDown Live. As for why Evans said she’s looking at getting her hands on both titles, that remains unclear.
It was speculated that, perhaps, Evans could earn title opportunities in both the RAW and SmackDown Live Women’s Title matches. Things should become more clear in the following weeks closing in on MITB.
