“Big Time Becks” has discussed how her WWE return came about.
During a recent interview with Ariel Helwani of BT Sport, former RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch commented on what WWE had told her before her return and how she reacted. She also discussed the fan attack with Seth Rollins that took place on Monday Night RAW last year.

Becky Lynch on how her WWE return at SummerSlam 2021 came together: “I was ready to come back. So I only got the call the Monday before I came back. So [Summerslam] was on a Saturday, yeah. So they called me on Monday and said, ‘We may need you. A situation has come up where somebody is out of the match and we may need you to do this or we may need you to do something else.’ And I go, ‘Okay, so you need me either way, you just don’t know which way.’ They said yeah. I was like, ‘Alright, I’ll be there.’ Luckily, I got my hair done the day before. I was [like a caged animal]. And I had been working a lot in the ring in Iowa and getting ready, so I knew I was ready. It was just a matter of when the call was going to come.”
On her reaction to a fan attacking Seth Rollins on Raw: “I was backstage. First, I was like was somebody supposed to go ahead and tackle him? Wait, that’s not one of our boys and the fact that they didn’t go back to it, then I thought something was wrong and I ran out to the curtain to see what happened. Of course [I was worried], yeah. That is not supposed to happen. Fans are not supposed to attack the entertainers. Also, you don’t know what anybody has on them. That could have been incredibly dangerous and could have been way worse, especially when you’re in the mode and focused and you don’t expect somebody to be charging at you a million miles an hour. Then tackling you to the ground. But I thought he handled it perfect.”
