As we reported on Monday here on eWn, Becky Lynch suffered a separated shoulder at SummerSlam on Saturday night. The injury occurred early on during Lynch’s RAW Women’s Championship match with Bianca Belair at the pay-per-view event. Despite the injury, “The Man” was able to “work through the pain” and finish the bout.
On this week’s episode of RAW, Lynch was written out of storylines after being attacked by Bayley, IYO SKY, and Dakota Kai in a backstage segment.
Following the angle on RAW, WWE issued the following tweet indicating that Becky Lynch would be out of action for “several months.”
“After suffering a separated shoulder at #SummerSlam, @BeckyLynchWWE’s injury was further exacerbated after an attack from @itsBayleyWWE, @ImKingKota, and IYO SKY earlier tonight on #WWERaw. As a result, @BeckyLynchWWE is expected to be out for several months.”
