Becky Lynch separated her shoulder during her RAW Women’s Championship match with Bianca Belair at SummerSlam. The Man is rumored to be out of action for at least several months, though the injury hasn’t stopped her from training.
During an unexpected appearance at Thursday’s WrestleMania 39 Launch Party, Lynch hinted that she’d be healthy and ready to go by the time Mania comes around next year. Belair introduced the former RAW Women’s Champion, who seemed confident she’d steal the show at Mania once again.
“Los Angeles, welcome to the big time! Becky Two Belts may be banged up right now, but come WrestleMania 39, well, the Vincent Van GOAT of WWE is going to feel like stealing the show, just like [Bianca & I] did this year.”
Lynch was written off television after suffering an attack by Bayley’s new faction on RAW. The Man has stated that she plans on returning the favor when she returns.
As for who Lynch will face at WrestleMania, there were reports earlier this year that The Man will end up having her one-on-one match against Ronda Rousey at the big event. While the two have battled at ‘Mania, it wasn’t in a traditional one-on-one match.
WWE has “suspended” Rousey for attacking a referee after her SmackDown Women’s Championship match at SummerSlam. It’ll be interesting to see whether Lynch and Rousey’s paths will cross again when they return.
