Yesterday (Sun. October 28, 2018) WWE held its first-ever all-female pay-per-view (PPV), Evolution. In the co-featured match of the night, SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Becky Lynch defeated Charlotte Flair in a Last Woman Standing match. The bout was extremely entertaining and many are calling it a Match Of The Year contender.
In the main event, Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey defended her title against Nikki Bella. Their match definitely surpassed expectations, but it wasn’t on the same level as Lynch vs. Flair. Prior to the PPV, many professional wrestling fans suggested that Lynch vs. Flair should main event Evolution.
They have, arguably, the hottest feud in the WWE and were expected to put on a tremendous match with one another. Becky Lynch seems to agree. She took to Twitter recently and posted a photo of a notification showing Ronda Rousey followed her.
Lynch used the notification to take a shot at Rousey by saying, “She tried.” Lynch is referencing that Rousey wasn’t able to top she and Flair’s match, which went on right before Rousey and Bella’s main event:
