Big E. is continuing to update fans regarding his injury status.
The former WWE Champion broke his neck when he took a belly-to-belly suplex from Ridge Holland during a tag team match on an episode of SmackDown earlier this year. The former WWE Champion fractured the C1 and C6 vertebrae in his neck.
Big E. shared the following update on his recovery in a statement on Twitter as his C1 isn’t forming bone yet, but they will do more scans at the one-year mark of the injury:
“Update! My C1 isn’t ossifying (forming bone) quite yet. The current plan is to get more scans at the one year mark & see how it’s progressing. The great news is I feel tremendous & surgery is off the table.”
