Bobby Fish Grateful For AEW Run – Says Tony Khan Wasn’t Paying Enough

Bobby Fish is pleased to have had a run with AEW but believes that his run was not utilized to its fullest potential.

Speaking on a recent edition of the “Developmentally Speaking” podcast, Fish reflected on his AEW tenure that lasted from October 2021 to September 2022. He said,

“I saw friends that I had not seen in forever. I was around Matt and Nick Jackson again. Those days in Japan, you’re on the road, you’re away from your family, and all you’ve got sometimes is each other. So those were guys that I saw more than my own family for a period of time.

“I think we did leave some money on the table. I think fans have always kinda’ clamored to see [some combination of The Undisputed Era]. My time there was brief, I only would agree to a year contract because — to be honest — he wasn’t giving me enough of his money. You gotta know your worth, right?”

While it was reported that Fish wanted Kyle O’Reilly & Adam Cole to leave AEW with him to return to WWE, Fish has always denied the notion.
