During a recent edition of his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T discussed the match between Roman Reigns and Riddle from SmackDown, along with WWE’s decision to book a “Last Man Standing” match between Reigns and the returning Brock Lesnar for SummerSlam.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

Booker T on what impressed him about the Roman Reigns vs. Riddle match on SmackDown: “I wanna eat my hat here for a second and give Riddle his props because Riddle went out and worked his ass off with Roman [Reigns] last week. They had me like a 10-pound bass – I was hooked in so many places in that match. Riddle did a hell of a job. I want to give even more credit to Roman. Everybody that works with Roman, it’s their best match. There again, taking nothing away from Riddle because he did a hell of a job. But everybody that works with Roman, he brings something out of those guys that nobody else can. I saw it do him with Bobby [Lashley] and everybody else that he worked with. That’s that dude at his best – in the squared circle, in the main event, that’s Roman. I think for Riddle, that time with Randy Orton did something for him. I just wanna give props where props are due.”

On Brock Lesnar’s WWE return: “It was a huge surprise. I don’t think anybody saw that coming at the end of the match. I know I didn’t see it coming. That’s one thing about WWE where they find themselves in a position where they can make a phone call to somebody like Brock and say, ‘Hey man, we’ve got a check [laughs]. Do you want to come to pick it up?’ It’s one of those types of deals. To see Brock back in action, I think it’s gonna be good. I think it’s gonna be good for business. Pull the trigger on Brock, get him back in action. It’s a good thing.”
