The fallout from the AEW All Out 2022 media scrum has left many fans wondering where the company goes from here. A brawl took place following the pay-per-view event, involving several AEW top talents. The brawl was seemingly incited by CM Punk’s offhanded (and reportedly pre-planned) comments burying Colt Cabana, Adam Page, and AEW EVP’s Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks. As reported, the various accounts on what happened during the brawl have led to an investigation by a third-party agency to determine the final conclusion on the futures of the talents involved.

With several other talents said to have been witnesses to the incident, WWE Hall of Famer and six-time world champion Booker T commented on why he feels AEW wrestler Chris Jericho is the “smartest guy in the [AEW] locker room”. On his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker gave Jericho credit for not letting his frustrations show amid the effect the brawl has had on the locker room.

“[Chris Jericho] is the smartest guy in the room,” Booker T said. “You can see how frustrated he is, he was with it. He held it in very, very well. You can see how frustrated he is with those guys around there because you don’t realize how good it is ’til you’re gone.”

Chris Jericho has been with AEW since its inception. He captured the AEW World Title at Double or Nothing in 2019, making him their inaugural World Champion. He eventually lost the title to Jon Moxley at Revolution 2020. Jericho is highly regarded as one of the greatest wrestling minds in the business, continuously reinventing himself to fit the wrestling atmosphere’s creative demands. Currently, he is the leader of the Jericho Appreciation Society that sees the rise of JAS member, Daniel Garcia conflicted between his loyalty to the faction and Daniel Bryan, who regarded him as a future-top tier talent in the business.

Jericho competed against Bryan at the AEW All Out pay-per-view event last Sunday, picking up the win after hitting Bryan with a low-blow, followed by a Judas Effect.
