Booker T Reacts To Brock Lesnar Beating Every African-American WWE Champion

Booker T has said it’s “stupid” to question why Brock Lesnar has won the WWE Championship from every single African-American Superstar to hold the title.

Lesnar, now in his tenth World title reign, beat WWE’s first African-American Champion The Rock (who’s also half Samoan) at Summerslam 2002.

In 2019, Lesnar won the WWE Title from Kofi Kingston on SmackDown 1000, beating Big E at Day 1, and regained the title from Bobby Lashley at last Saturday’s Elimination Chamber.

Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker questioned why people bring up the African-American Superstars Lesnar has beaten, but not white Superstars he’s defeated:

“That’s not even a conversation that should be had. That’s stupid. People want to bring race into – he beat the black guys, he beat the white guys too. Just because he beat the black guys it’s a problem? I mean, what color do you want them to be? He’ll beat them too. It just makes no sense, to make that a conversation. For that to be something on Twitter, thrown around from a negative perspective about Brock Lesnar, making him a racist. I don’t even know if that was the conversation, making him a racist, but that’s what it sounds like.”

In addition to every African-American WWE Champion, Lesnar has won World Championships from Kurt Angle, John Cena, Bill Goldberg, and Seth Rollins.

The WWE Champion will defend his title against Universal Champion Roman Reigns in a ‘Winner Takes All‘ match at WrestleMania 38.
