Because we all know Booker T as an elder statesman of pro wrestling, we might expect that his demeanor backstage was similar to that of his contemporaries: hard-nosed, no-nonsense, and protecting the business. But the two-time WWE Hall of Famer admitted that he was one of the first wrestlers to pioneer playing video games in the locker room with the boys.

Speaking on a recent episode of his “Hall of Fame” podcast, Booker discussed the special perks he received following his WCW World Championship victory in 2000.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On playing video games with Xavier Woods: “On the PSP, I played Xavier Woods one time overseas. He thought he was just gonna beat up on me. You can link the old PSPs, and he was like, ‘Yeah, come on.’ And I beat him up so bad, [laughing] so bad in straight sets, he didn’t even want to play me anymore.”

Getting to play Madden football backstage: “For me, they tried to appease me: ‘We’re gonna give you your own locker room.’ And I was like, ‘Man, I don’t want my own locker room.’ I didn’t want to isolate myself from the boys, or anything like that. I said, ‘But what you can do is get me a 50″ television and put it on the truck, and make sure it’s at every show so we can play Madden.’ And they did it! [laughs] They put it on the truck. It was at every TV and on the house shows. It was crazy, man! But that was my perk – I wanted for us to be able to play Madden. And I was the king of Madden at that time too, man. Nobody could stop me.”
