According to a report from Pwinsider, WWE made some major cuts to the NXT brand on Friday night. Some of the names released include Bronson Reed, Bobby Fish, Leon Ruff, Jake Atlas, and others.
As of now, the following names have been released from their NXT contracts:
* Asher Hale
* Ari Sterling
* Bobby Fish
* Bronson Reed
* Giant Zanjeer
* Jake Atlas
* Kona Reeves
* Leon Ruff
* Mercedes Martinez
* Tyler Rust
* Zechariah Smith
* Stephon Smith (referee)
As of this writing, this is the complete list of talents being released tonight but there could be even more over the weekend. The releases are reportedly part of “major changes” coming to WWE NXT. The black and yellow brand will also be getting a new logo, lighting, and a younger talent focus/format in the coming weeks.
