Reportedly, CMLL was unhappy that Dragon Lee had worked PWG’s Battle Of Los Angeles tournament. The promotion was said to not want Dragon Lee on the same shows as AAA talent.
CMLL didn't want Dragon Lee and Cavernario on the same shows as AAA wrestlers. (Even though Lee has wrestled Penta & Fenix in Mexico prior, and even though Lee didn't wrestle them.) https://t.co/TrXESIhQ40

At Ring Of Honor’s ‘Death Before Dishonor’ event, RUSH defeated Matt Taven to win the World Championship. Afterwards, RUSH and his father (Bestia del Ring) declared themselves free agents in Mexico.
It is worth noting that CMLL owns the trademarks in Mexico to Dragon Lee and RUSH.
