This past weekend, Mauro Ranallo would be involved in a much talked about incident in the world of Professional Wrestling.
Two huge events would take place in WWE with Saturday seeing NXT bring back War Games for the 3rd time and Sunday having Raw, Smackdown, & NXT battle for brand supremacy at Survivor Series. Mauro Ranallo was scheduled to provide commentary for War Games as well as several matches at Survivor Series, however Ranallo was absent for the latter.
Corey Graves was very critical of Ranallo’s commentary during Saturday night’s WWE NXT Takeover: WarGames event. Following the criticism, Mauro Ranallo would delete his Twitter account.
During the Survivor Series broadcast, it was stated by Michael Cole that Ranallo had blown out his voice doing commentary for NXT War Games. At the time it was also stated that WWE expected Ranallo to be back for this week’s episode of NXT.
According to POST Wrestling, Ranallo will not be calling NXT on Wednesday night at Full Sail University. Also, it was confirmed that the reason given for his Survivor Series absence was a cover reason.
