Some shocking news regarding Toni Storm today.
According to a report from Fightful, the Australian Superstar is gone from WWE. Storm was on the road for the company as recently as last night, working Triple Threat matches with Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks.
This comes as a big surprise as Storm is currently in a feud against Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship, and she was seemingly protected in defeat during the last title match as Flair won with a quick roll up after reversing a roll up from Storm.
Toni Storm is also a former NXT UK Women’s Champion and her signing was a big deal in 2019, as it happened when she was the reigning World of Stardom Champion and one of the most talked about non WWE women’s wrestlers of the world.
According to Pwinsider, the story making the rounds is that Storm requested and received her release. WWE’s internal memo did not state Storm was released due to budget cuts.

Those that I spoke to within WWE believe Toni Storm asked for her release from the company, though I'm also making an effort to reach out to those close to her. The memo that went out did not list budget cuts as the reason, as has been tradition of late.
