UPDATE: We reported earlier today here on eWn that WrestleMania 36 will be taking place from the WWE Performance Center. As you’d expect, there were some rumors that the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony and NXT Takeover events would be canceled or delayed. WWE has now issued the following statement:

“The WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony and NXT TakeOver will not take place as previously scheduled. We will share further details as they become available.”

The nWo, Batista, The Bella Twins, JBL, Davey Boy Smith, and Jushin Liger were all expected to be inducted into the 2020 Hall of Fame. It’s possible they may be holding these events later this year, possibly during SummerSlam weekend if that event even goes on as planned.

ORIGINAL: WWE has just confirmed that WrestleMania 36 will not be taking place from Tampa, Florida.

The show will instead air live on the WWE Network and will take place from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. As of now, there will be no fans in attendance but it’s possible WWE will try to fill some of the seats with their production crew members.

WWE.com issued the following statement:

“In coordination with local partners and government officials, WrestleMania and all related events in Tampa Bay will not take place. However, WrestleMania will still stream live on Sunday, April 5 at 7 pm ET on WWE Network and be available on pay-per-view. Only essential personnel will be on the closed set at WWE’s training facility in Orlando, Florida to produce WrestleMania.”
