Breaking ​Report: Billy Corgan Files A Lawsuit Against Dixie Carter & TNA

According to a report from the Pwinsider.com website, current TNA President Billy Corgan filed a lawsuit against Dixie Carter and TNA iMPACT! Wrestling TV. He also sued TNA’s parent company iMPACT! Ventures LLC, TNA Chief Financial Officer Dean Broadhead and Carter’s husband Serg Salias. The case was filed on October 12th in the Chancery Court of Nashville, TN. According to the reports, requests for comment from Corgan’s attorney and TNA’s Public Relations department were not returned, There are no other details on the lawsuit as of this writing are. We can onli speculate that it is over Corgan’s bid to purchase the company.

As previously reported here on eWrestlingNews.com, Corgan began investing in TNA Wrestling during the early Summer months. He was the also person who financed the Slammiversary PPV as well as the following TV tapings (millions of dollars). He then invested further add-ons that led to him acquiring a larger share in the company. In August, he was named President of the company and it was announced that he would be handling the day-to-day operations.

Corgan has said that he wants to buy TNA Wrestling “outright” but says he wouldn’t buy the company unless he could secure its future on his own. He has not been able to close a deal yet, as things reportedly became “complicated.” TNA personalities noted over the course of the PPV and October TV tapings that there was obvious tension between Corgan and Carter with Carter leaving before the TV tapings.
