As noted earlier this evening here on eWn, Drew Gulak is gone from WWE.

According to Pwinsider, Gulak’s WWE contract expired after last night’s SmackDown TV tapings. The show was taped earlier in the week. While the two sides had been discussing a new deal, they had not come to terms on an agreement before Gulak’s deal expired. With his contract expiring, he is now free to work wherever he’d like and there isn’t any sort of non-compete clause.

It’s very interesting that WWE allowed this to happen as they have been pushing Gulak on TV in recent months. He’s also turned into one of WWE’s most solid and versatile performers.

For what it’s worth, Gulak and WWE could reach a deal to bring him back to the company but as of right now, he is free to go wherever he’d like. That means he could appear on AEW Dynamite next week or could go to New Japan, Ring of Honor, Impact Wrestling, etc.

Gulak was originally trained by Chris Hero and Mike Quackenbush.
