GCW owner Brett Lauderdale has said that Joey Janela is “totally fine” after a scary fire spot last month.
At the recent GCW Maniac event, the former AEW star set his boot on fire to hit a superkick on Drew Parker.
Although the spot went as planned, the fire was not easily extinguished and many fans feared that Janela had been badly burned in the process.
Speaking during an appearance of ‘Business of the Business,’ Lauderdale promised that Janela is now fine:
“He’s good. He’s healthy. He’s in the best shape of his career… Right now, Joey Janela is at his best in my opinion.”
Janela lost the match to Parker and has wrestled three matches since the flaming boot spot.
