PWInsider reports that Brian Kendrick has asked for his release from WWE.
The company brought him back a few years ago for the Cruiserweight Classic and kept him around for the cruiserweight division. Kendrick eventually settled into a producer role.
Per the report, Kendrick hasn’t been at the TV tapings in Orlando for weeks and he’s been waiting on his release for six weeks. His last match came in October.
It’s unclear whether WWE will give him the release as WWE is not looking to grant Mustafa Ali’s request right now.
