Brian Pillman Jr recently took to his Instagram to talk about his first major promotion contract with MLW. Pillman expressed gratitude for the promotion taking a chance on him:
Just under 1 year ago I signed a professional wrestling TV contract. A contract that PROMISED to build me up into a “star”. Being less than a year into the business at the time I had no idea where it would lead, but it was a no brainer for me that the television and match experience was exactly what I needed. Fast forward to a year later and I find myself on the other side of the world, in the United Kingdom, wrestling some of the best in-ring talents the world has to offer! I even earned myself a shiny belt known as the WLGP championship! @majorleaguewrestling made a promise to me, and that promise was fulfilled… Instead of fans coming up to me at the merch table and comparing me to my father, the fans in the UK raved about my performances on MLW!!! While it’s very fulfilling to carry on my father’s name and legacy, nothing feels better than stepping out of his shadow and writing my own story. Thank you @wrestlingleagueuk for bringing me on my first overseas tour and treating me like a PRINCE, thank you MLW for making good on your promise, and thank you to all my fans who have made me into what I always believed I could be an international STAR!!!
