Fans who tuned in to AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam last night were treated to a surprising appearance.
As we’ve reported earlier, Saraya (formerly Paige of WWE) made her AEW debut during last night’s show, saving Toni Storm and Athena from a group beatdown at the hands of Britt Baker, Jamie Hayter, Serena Deeb, and Rebel (not Reba!). Baker didn’t take too kindly to Saraya sticking her nose in her business, and said so in a backstage promo that AEW posted here. The former AEW Women’s Champion said the following while receiving medical attention after last night’s title fight:
“Alright, get off! Get off! Get off! Dude, I’m good. I’m good, and most importantly, we’re good. We’ve been through the good, the bad, and the ugly together and we came out on top. You know what? I originally brought Jamie [Hayter] to AEW to protect me, but now, Jamie is my best friend. I need her just as much as she needs me. We’re a team! We’re a unit, and this is our house, Saraya. So I don’t know where you came from, or where you think you’re going from here, but you might as well turn around right now because there is not room for you here in AEW.”
Baker took the pinfall loss to Toni Storm in last night’s match for the interim AEW Women’s Championship.
