At the NJPW Dominion pay-per-view event on Sunday, Kazuchika Okada, Tomohiro Ishii, & Hiroshi Tanahashi successfully defended their NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Titles against Jon Moxley, Shota Umino, & Claudio Castagnoli.
Post-match, Moxley did a promo where he said he had a message from the best wrestler in the world, leading to Bryan Danielson appearing on the big screen.
Danielson challenged Okada to a match with Okada stating the Forbidden Door would be open, teasing the match for AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door 2 on June 25.
