AEW Star Bryan Danielson has said he feels like ten matches a month is a right number for him to wrestle at this point in his career.

After a highly successful run in WWE, Danielson joined AEW last September and recently joined the Blackpool Combat Club.

In an interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Danielson was asked about his in-ring career following his 2016 retirement and how much he feels comfortable doing. He said,

“I actually feel I’m at my best when I wrestle about 10 matches a month. When I do only a match a week, I see the difference. I’ll ask myself, ‘Why didn’t I do this?’ Or I’ll see something wasn’t as sharp as it used to be. I’m also lucky to wrestle once a week. That’s great for family life. But I’m a little bit of a perfectionist, so I’m not sure it’s great for wrestling technique. When I watch my stuff back and critique myself, I’m hard on myself and want to make sure everything is sharp.”

Ten matches a month would see Danielson work almost every episode of Dynamite and Rampage as well as a possible pay-per-view.

On this week’s Dynamite, it was confirmed that Danielson will be part of the upcoming Blood and Guts match on June 29th.

That match will see the Jericho Appreciation Society face the Danielson, Jon Moxley, Eddie Kingston, Santana and Ortiz.
