Bully Ray, formerly known as Bubba Ray Dudley, is a well-decorated tag team wrestler. The Dudley Boys are widely regarded as one of pro wrestling’s all-time great tag teams. Naturally, the topic of the greatest tag teams came up in a recent interview.
Bully Ray was speaking with Bill Apter of Sportskeeda Wrestling to promote the upcoming Hard To Kill pay-per-view event when he was asked about his all-time top 5 teams (excluding the Dudleys, of course). Ray’s thoughts on the matter are below:
His top 5 teams, Dudleys excluded: “The Rock N’ Roll Express, The Midnight Express, The Road Warriors, The Hardy Boyz, and I’ll try to give you one from today, the Usos. If the Usos had some — I wish there were more teams to work with the Usos, so they could get even better. But there’s so many great tag teams.”
On The Road Warriors: “The reason why I always say The Road Warriors were the greatest tag team of all time is because they put asses in seats. They’re probably the only tag team ever that you could put on the marquee that would sell out the house by themselves.”
Bully Ray will challenge Josh Alexander for the Impact World Championship on January 13th in Atlanta, GA. The title will be contested in a Full Metal Mayhem match. You can see a clip of Bubba’s appearance below:
