WWE Hall Of Famer Bully Ray recently took to Busted Open Radio to discuss the news that Kofi Kingston has been removed from the WWE Title match against Daniel Bryan at Fastlane. Ray talked about not being sure WWE is angling for a title bout for Kingston at WrestleMania, and where he thinks the storyline is going. Here are the highlights:
Not being sure WWE is angling for a title shot for Kingston at WrestleMania: “I’m not necessarily sure they’re going [with Kofi Kingston challenging Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35], but the path that I can see Kofi taking is this,” Ray said. “Did you watch the reactions on Stephanie and Shane’s faces when Vince came out and basically just took their contract signing and flushed it down the toilet to do what he wanted to do?”
Where he thinks the storyline is heading:
“If you remember a couple of weeks ago it was Triple H and Stephanie that had the face-to-face with Becky and were very nice. Then said, ‘Listen, we’re sorry. We’re apologizing to you. Please apologize to us and you’re back into WrestleMania. We got that moment and then Vince came out, and then he trumped Triple H and Stephanie. A month ago we saw the whole family say that the McMahons were taking back control and that everything would go right.
“Hunter and Stephanie gave the WWE Universe Becky Lynch back and Vince took it away. Last night, Shane and Steph gave Kofi Kingston [a title shot] and Vince took it away. The path for Kofi is through Shane and Stephanie and that could lead to a whole hullabaloo within the McMahon family.”
"The path for him now is through @shanemcmahon & @StephMcMahon"@bullyray5150 explains how the McMahon siblings could be his only way to get back on the road to #WrestleMania 35 and to save #KofiMania pic.twitter.com/DHijOb3xzj
