Bully Ray Says Jimmy Snuka Inspired Him To Be A Wrestler

Bully Ray will challenge Josh Alexander for the Impact Wrestling World Championship in a Full Metal Mayhem Match at the upcoming Hard To Kill pay-per-view event on January 13th.

While speaking to Bill Apter for Sportskeeda’s WrestleBing, Ray revealed that it was one of Jimmy Snuka’s most legendary matches in WWE history that made him want to become a professional wrestler.

In that historic match, Snuka delivered a spectacular Superfly Splash from the top of the steel cage onto Don Muraco at Madison Square Garden on October 17, 1983. Ray said,

“I was in the front row, Madison Square Garden, the night he jumped off the top of the steel cage onto the Magnificent Morocco. And that’s when I knew, ‘I want to do this.’”

Ray also touched on his upcoming Hard To Kill match with Alexander before signing off. He said,

“January 13th, Atlanta, Georgia, Center Stage. I will be facing the current Impact Wrestling World champion, Josh Alexander, in a Full Metal Mayhem match which is right in my wheelhouse. Yeah, right in my wheelhouse, and probably the next time we talk I will be the three-time Impact World Champion.”
