Former WWE and UFC star Cain Velasquez is facing ten charges, including 1st degree attempted murder, after allegedly being involved in a shooting earlier this year when he followed a 43-year-old man named Harry Goularte. Cain allegedly fired shots at the vehicle where he hit Goularte’s stepfather.

Velasquez submitted a not guilty plea Friday on attempted murder and other charges, according to MMA Fighting. A pre-trial hearing is now set for September 26th.

He faces ten charges ranging from attempted murder, assault with a firearm, assault with a deadly weapon, carrying a loaded firearm with intent to commit a felony, and more. If convicted of all charges, Velasquez faces a maximum sentence of 20 years to life in prison.

Goularte was charged with one felony count of lewd and lascivious act for allegedly molesting Valesquez’s son.

Goularte allegedly had “daily access” to the kids under his mother’s care, and his interactions with Velasquez’s four-year-old son occurred in 2021 and 2022.
