Former WWE and UFC star Cain Velasquez is facing ten charges, including 1st degree attempted murder, after allegedly being involved in a shooting earlier this year when he followed a 43-year-old man named Harry Goularte. Cain allegedly fired shots at the vehicle where he hit Goularte’s stepfather.

Velasquez faces ten charges ranging from attempted murder, assault with a firearm, assault with a deadly weapon, carrying a loaded firearm with intent to commit a felony, and more. If convicted of all charges, Velasquez faces a maximum sentence of 20 years to life in prison.

Goularte was charged with one felony count of lewd and lascivious act for allegedly molesting Valesquez’s son.

Velasquez and his legal team asked judge Daniel Nishigaya in Santa Clara County (California) court on Monday for permission to be part of AAA’s return to the United States on Saturday, December 3rd.

The event will be held on the campus of Velasquez’s alma mater of Arizona State University. A ruling from the new judge is expected to be made on Tuesday. As part of his bail arrangement, Velasquez currently has travel restrictions.
