The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the Cauliflower Alley Club is experiencing some serious issues as a result of plans to keep the 55th annual reunion in September as scheduled. The event was scheduled for April, but was pushed back in March due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The issue is the event should not be held because of the older wrestlers and their families attending, from what we understand of the report, due to the potential health risks. Brian Blair (former WWE Superstar) also has financial reasons to which he does not want to cancel the event in Las Vegas. Tickets for both wrestlers and fans are nearly sold out.
Brian Blair will hold a conference call on July 15 with host Gold Coast Hotel and Casino about their $52,000 deposit for the three days, as well as moving the event to 2021.
Roy Lucier was originally on board but left on June 26th, but says that he supported Blair completely but he was a target for harassment. One person anonymously stated they were going to get Dominic DeNucci (who is 88 years old) killed. DeNucci has minor heart issues and wants to avoid all the drama and chaos. People who had been sending Lucier messages that were both hateful and disrespectful had not contacted Blair to find out what was going on with the event.
