During night two of WrestleMania 36 last night, Charlotte Flair defeated Rhea Ripley to become the new NXT Women’s Champion. According to a report from Wrestling Observer Radio‘s Dave Meltzer, Flair is expected to work both Monday Night Raw and NXT as the new NXT Women’s Champion.
The idea is to have Flair as part of the NXT brand to assist in the Wednesday Night War against AEW Dynamite. WWE already made a similar move when they sent Finn Balor to NXT last year. It remains unknown if Flair will also work live events for NXT once touring is able to resume.
