At Slammiversary 2021, Chelsea Green made her return to Impact Wrestling. At the event, Green would team with her fiancé Matt Cardona, defeating the team of Brian Myers and Tennille Dashwood.
In a video released on Impact’s Twitter page, Green has now made it clear that the win was just the start of her ambitions now she has returned to the company. Green stated in a backstage promo that she wants the Knockouts Championship, and she wants it now. She said,
“I’m back, I’m here to stay and I’m coming straight for that Knockouts Championship.”

Chelsea Green is a one-time Knockouts Champion holding the title for 65 days between 2017 and 2018, this was under her previous alias of Lauren Van Ness. The current Knockouts Champion is Deonna Purrazzo, who is well documented to be Chelsea Green’s best friend outside of the ring.
