Chris “Dickinson” Torre’s defamation lawsuit against his former partners Christina Kardooni (aka Christina Von Eerie) and McKaila Coulter, who accused him of physical and mental domestic abuse, was dismissed by the U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey on December 19th.

According to a report from Pwinsider, Kardooni and Coulter each filed motions back in September arguing that the defamation lawsuit should have never been filed in New Jersey due to the fact that Dickinson resides in New York, Kardooni resides in Canada and Coulter resides in New England, and therefore a court in New Jersey didn’t have any jurisdiction to handle the case.

In her motion, Coulter also argued that none of the instances she alleged about Torre took place in New Jersey and that she didn’t make any efforts to promote her social media posts either.

Coulter further noted that while Torre claims that she “aimed the social media posts at his employer,” “a plain reading of the tweets shows that she did not.”

Kardooni argued that because none of her social media posts constituted “commercial” speech, her statements should not have any bearing on Dickinson’s wrestling career.

The presiding judge, Susan D. Wigenton, sided with the defendants after hearing Dickinson’s arguments and reviewing a 20-page report filed by another judge on whether New Jersey had jurisdiction in the case.

The honorable court ruled in favor of Coulter and Kardooni and dismissed Dickinson’s lawsuit on grounds of lack of evidence on part of the plaintiff and his failure to prove that New Jersey was indeed the proper venue for the lawsuit.

As per the judgment, the dismissal could mean that “finding lack of personal jurisdiction may transfer the action to a court that has jurisdiction over the defendants.” While this has not happened yet, Torre can exercise the clause if he wishes to pursue the matter in the coming weeks.
