As seen on Sunday here on eWrestlingNews.com, Chris Jericho vs. Kenny Omega will be taking place at NJPW’s WrestleKingdom 12 event. One person not very happy with the news is former CNN analyst and WCW announcer Christopher Cruise. The former WCW announcer called the “worked angle” on Twitter between the two an “insult” to fans around the world. Jericho and Jim Ross have responded to the tweets, as seen below:
Is everything a work nowadays?

Seems that way, Chris.
Many politicians are excellent ‘workers.’— Jim Ross (@JRsBBQ) November 5, 2017

Yes, but I guess I was hoping for better from @IAmJericho. Instead, same old crap.

Hmm…I’m missing your point re: @IAmJericho
I love this creative as the fans get a payoff too https://t.co/49tAhhxUJN— Jim Ross (@JRsBBQ) November 5, 2017

Good for everyone, yes, but why not just be straight up about it? Why try to hide it in a worked online shoot? Its insulting to fans.

Don’t agree with your take but I respect it. https://t.co/spHKVmFRCO

Fact Jericho appeared on their show was shock enough. He continues to reinvent & stay relevant. Well done, @IAmJericho cc: @ChrispyCruiser

I agree. But why not just be straightforward? This isn’t the 80s or 90s. Fan sophistication is much higher now. Stop the workin.
