It was announced by Tony Schiavone that there were 13,191 fans in attendance at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey for this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. That was a legitimate sellout.
As seen during this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho made several references to his past shoot fights with Brock Lesnar and Goldberg in WWE.
During his promo, Jericho mentioned his well-known backstage altercations with the two men. In a segment with American Top Team, Jericho said,
“I’ve been getting into skirmishes backstage with MMA guys my whole career. I got into it with a UFC champion ‘beast’ [Brock Lesnar] a few years ago. And a few years before that, I had a shoot fight with an MMA-trained raging Bill [Goldberg] backstage. They didn’t kill me; I don’t think you can either.”
As we reported earlier here on eWn, Jericho and Jake Hager vs. the Men of the Year (Ethan Page & Scorpio Sky) will be taking place on AEW Rampage in two weeks.
