During the latest edition of his “Talk Is Jericho” podcast, Chris Jericho talked about working with The Rock in WWE. Jericho recalled one time where he was wrestling The Rock during his early WWE run and was trying to impress Vince McMahon and WWE’s “higher-ups.”
Jericho noted that the match between the two men went into the crowd and he wanted to get some “heel heat” so he grabbed what he thought was a beer from a fan and threw it at The Rock. Jericho said it turned out to be chewing tobacco spit instead. The Rock was briefly blinded and began to “freak out” over it.
Jericho said that he apologized “a thousand times” for the incident when they got to the back and The Rock showered for 45 minutes that night. Some audio from the segment can be heard below:
