‘The Wizard’ Chris Jericho has claimed that he had to get a magician’s license to shoot a fireball during an episode of AEW Dynamite earlier this year.
During the April 27th episode of AEW Dynamite, Jericho threw a fireball into the face of Eddie Kingston, before declaring himself ‘The Wizard.’
Speaking on the AEW Unrestricted podcast, Jericho recalled having to leave the Las Vegas area over a magician’s license.
“We went to Vegas, there was a problem. I had [to get] my magician’s license.”
Jericho explained how he needed a license to perform the stunt, but that the documentation didn’t arrive in time.
“You need that to throw a fireball in the vicinity of Vegas. The problem was it didn’t come in time, so we had to go outside the boundaries of Vegas to throw the fireball at the stagehand.”
Jericho is currently in his first reign as ROH World Champion, having defeated Claudio Castagnoli at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam.
