While this should come as no surprise with his AEW debut, CM Punk has retired from MMA. According to a report from MMA Fighting, UFC officials have confirmed that the AEW Superstar has officially retired from the sport and will be working with AEW full-time going forward.

Punk was 0-1 in his MMA career, with one no contest. Earlier this year, Punk removed himself from the USADA testing pool. CM Punk signed with the UFC in 2014 and was tested six times in 2020 alone. He wasn’t tested at all in 2021.

Following his UFC signing, CM Punk trained with Duke Roufous and lost to Mickey Gall at UFC 203 in 2016. He also lost a unanimous decision to Mike Jackson at UFC 225. That result then turned into a no-contest after Jackson tested positive for marijuana following the fight.
