Cody Rhodes tore his pectoral tendon before his match against Seth Rollins at Hell in a Cell. The injury has led to the American Nightmare being taken out of action for reportedly nine months.
Despite not being anywhere near a WWE ring, popularity for the injured star has risen. According to a new report from Fightful, Rhodes’ Mattel Creations Ultimate Edition action figures have been selling out quickly. The figure had the highest pre-order numbers since WWE began working with Mattel.
Rhodes is rumored to be returning next year at the Royal Rumble. It was recently reported that WWE is working on a documentary regarding his return to the company.
