Two years ago, Cody made his Ring Of Honor (ROH) debut against Jay Lethal. Now, it’s only fitting that he has his last match with the promotion against Lethal as well. ROH has announced that Lethal will defend his ROH World Title against Cody at “Final Battle” in New York on Friday, December 14th:

Cody responded to the announcement on Twitter. Rhodes, whose contract ends with ROH in January, will be a free agent come 2019. There has been a lot of speculation as to where he can end up, but Rhodes is teasing that if he beats Lethal for the ROH World Title, he’ll take the strap with him into free agency:
“Jay was the first match I had in ROH two years ago. He will be my last. And I will take the World Championship into free agency.”
