As you know by now, WWE will be holding their Great American Bash themed episode of WWE NXT tonight. Of course, the Great American Bash concept was created by Dusty Rhodes, the late father of AEW EVP Cody Rhodes.
When a fan asked Cody about tonight’s event and WWE not allowing him to use the Great American Bash name in AEW, he said “business is business” and noted that he’d never be bitter about his father’s legacy being honored. Cody said,
“Business is business. They have the rights to many of Dusty’s greatest creations. My hope is that they do them justice and I will never be bitter about his legacy being honored and a whole new generation seeing he was a genius w/lasting concepts”
