Cody Rhodes has made quite the name for himself since leaving WWE in 2016. During Rhodes’ time with WWE, he won six Tag Team Championships and two Intercontinental Championships. After leaving WWE, Cody has now won World Championships from Ring Of Honor (ROH) and NWA. He’s currently the IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion and is expected to be a part of the AEW promotion in 2019.
Rhodes recently took to Twitter and responded to the notion that his time in WWE “squandered” him:
“They didn’t squander me at all. It was a great place to learn, travel, and grow-up across TV sets. Helped shape the business side of me forever. I just had different aspirations and saw a different path I wanted to take.”
