“Blood and guts” was the term that Vince McMahon used to describe their promotion following their inaugural event Double Or Nothing in May.
The trademark is intended for many uses, including the following:
Entertainment services, namely, an ongoing television show about professional wrestling; entertainment services, namely, the production in the nature of organization of exhibitions and performances of professional wrestling events rendered live and through broadcast media, namely, television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; sports entertainment, namely, wrestling events rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service.
Furthermore, Cody Rhodes has trademarked the term “The Match Beyond.” For those unaware, The Match Beyond is what used to be the tagline for WarGames during its inception in the days of Jim Crockett Promotions. With the idea being that WarGames was just the initial time spent in the cage before all men got in the ring and the actual wrestling match beyond the carnage could begin.
Of course, WarGames is currently owned by WWE. Cody has said recently that he would be interested in purchasing the trademark from them as WarGames was an invention of his father’s.
