As seen during Monday’s WWE RAW broadcast, WWE continued the feud between Saturday Night Live (SNL) comedians Colin Jost/Michael Che and Braun Strowman. After Strowman went back and forth with the two during an in-ring segment with Alexa Bliss, it was revealed that Jost and Che were being added to the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 35. The reason this is being done is due to the fact that NBC Universal owns NBC (obviously) and the USA Network. It’s all about mainstream press going into WrestleMania and they are getting exactly that, especially with the ratings SNL gets on NBC. You can also expect heavy promotion on SNL the night before WrestleMania 35.
The Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal usually takes place on the WrestleMania “Kickoff” show and is a way to get most of WWE’s roster on the pay-per-view. That also gives the talent a payday.
