Money in the Bank has been a great match where several new names have made a mark on history. They cashed in and each time was able to get the richest prize in the business, a World Title. Only John Cena failed to cash in and win. WWE eventually smartened up and made an entire PPV around it. It’s one of the most seen PPVs of the year outside the Big 4. It has actually rivaled even those.

People such as Alberto Del Rio, CM Punk, The Miz, Dolph Ziggler, and even Edge all profited greatly from Money in the Bank, whether they won it at Wrestlemania or at the PPV. Today, WWE has two MITB matches where a talent can be involved in either the World Title or WWE Title match.

The match is simply a Ladder match with a twist, instead of a title you reach for a briefcase where a contract sits for a World Title, any time you choose to go after it. At times tables and chairs get involved, but it is

purely a Ladder match at its base.

WWE has made several stars at this event over the last number of years alone. Daniel Bryan was able to do quite well and make a major name for himself after his run. Dolph Ziggler also greatly benefited. Miz was able to even go into Wrestlemania with the WWE Title he won after cashing in, and walk out the winner over the top man in the company, John Cena.

This is why I am a bit perturbed in what WWE has in possible plans.

As you have been reading on the EWN newswire, WWE is going over the idea of having Daniel Bryan and/or Dolph Ziggler win a MITB briefcase again. While I do like both characters and feel they both have done excellent the last few years and even the last year alone. I do feel that it’s a bit crazy to give them yet another run.

There are people on the roster such as Cody Rhodes and Damian Sandow who have done great work over the years. They would do great as a World Heavyweight Champion for example. Sandow is a guy several love due to his great promo ability. His ring work may not be the best in the company. But his character gets you past this. He would be a great candidate to cash in on a vulnerable champion.

Imagine his music hitting and him cashing in on someone like a CM Punk or John Cena. While today, he may never be able to take a guy like that one on one from a mark standpoint. He easily could do it when they are down and out. Which is exactly how he’d do it I’d bet.

Cody Rhodes has terrific in-ring ability and he can play a character as good as anyone. His storyline work has been terrific over the years and he is a proven singles star. There was talk of him winning MITB the last few years but WWE never pulled the trigger. I don’t feel he has to have it to get over. But it would be great for him to get it to cash in on someone like maybe a Randy Orton who he’d have amazing matches with.

Wade Barrett is also a great singles champion and would do brilliantly if given a chance to prove himself as a MITB winner and eventual champion.

He has all the skills in the ring one could ask for, not to mention his character and promo ability is as good as anyone else in the company.

The best scenario to me though, would actually be two fold. Well, in this case three fold.

A person like Dean Ambrose is a star, but the same can be said for the rest of the members of The Shield. Roman Reigns is a guy that could be an amazing World Champion and a person that could do a lot of damage alone.

While I feel if any member of the Shield got into MITB, it would be either Seth Rollins or Dean Ambrose, I do feel that WWE may be able to make things interesting by making Shield use their unity against them. This could be a great way to help break apart The Shield. Imagine, The Shield wants in the MITB match. And WWE allows it on one condition. If they win, they have to choose who gets to cash it in.

They will be put in as a unit, but only one man can be in the ring at a time.

While Ambrose is obviously the leader of the group, he is not the most powerful or most athletic. All three could be great World Champions. So they would fight from within the group. Instead of trying to build a star to break them down, they break themselves down. Which makes The Shield still look good as a team, but eventually part ways to singles careers.

Rollins may become a face while Dean would be a heel naturally. It could be that Reigns is a wildcard on which way he would go.

They have to split up at some point, but they need to split in a great way.

I’m sure this could be an interesting way.

If WWE actually allowed all three to be in a MITB, I’m sure some disagreements would happen then too. So this would be a great place to have Shield involved.

Another possibility WWE might actually go with is having Christian win at MITB. Before you say it’s a dumb idea, think about it. WWE likes to use veterans in the WHC scene. People like Kane and Mark Henry have been in this role over the last few years, even Big Show. Christian is now returning in perfect health and really does deserve “one more match” for a World Title. Why not give a Ladder match vet a win for once in MITB?

RVD might be the man they use for it however. But several believe while he may be in the MITB match, he won’t win the match. Rather, develop a story within it. Several possibilities can happen with RVD. I for one think

RVD does not win at MITB if he is in a MITB match. But, he will be involved in something good no matter what.

In the end, there are several ways WWE can go at MITB. There is no need to have two former winners win yet again in this case. Especially one who literally just cashed in just a few months ago. While I agree that both Ziggler and Bryan deserve World Title matches and even deserve to win in them. I cannot foresee it being a good idea to have either win again.

I for one think that if WWE has either win, it won’t be the end of the world. But I’d be disappointed. These two men are already created stars that do not need MITB. But then again, Cena won last year. So, logic is not always best to use in this area.

But what do you think? Should WWE try to create a new star here or next main eventer? Or should they continue to push current storylines by using a person like Bryan or Ziggler? Tell me below in the comments.
