As we’ve been reporting here on eWn, there have been some conflicting reports on Sami Zayn’s contract with WWE and when his current deal with the company expires. During an interview with TVA Sports in April 2019, a source revealed that Zayn had around two and a half years left on his current deal. That would have meant that his contract would be expiring this fall. Another source noted that Zayn’s deal is “not up in the fall.”
According to Pat Laprade of Lutte.Quebec, Zayn signed a three-year deal with WWE in late May or early June of 2018. With that being said, Zayn has undergone two shoulder surgeries and WWE has opted to extend his contract due to this. There are some reports that his contract was extended for nine-and-a-half months due to the injuries. This would mean that Zayn’s WWE contract won’t be up until March or April of 2022.
